Year 14 SwotUp Medical Application Course

swotUP medical feature

To assist you with the application process a group of medical students are running interview masterclasses. The main aim of this initiative is to maximise the success of students in Northern Ireland applying to medical schools across the UK. They have drawn upon their own personal experiences, along with input from Year 13 and 14 students, doctors and medical students, to create a course that is targeted at the most challenging aspects of the application process.

One of the founding principles of swotUp is widening access to medicine for applicants from all backgrounds, which is why these courses are charged as a “suggested donation” only. They stronly believe that financial status should not put any student at a disadvantage when it comes to applying to medical school. Students are only ever asked to donate what they can.

There are currently 3 dates for year 14. each of these courses will be held online via Zoom on the following dates:

  • Saturday 24th October 2020
  • Saturday 7th November 2020
  • Saturday 21st November 2020
